SCREW this movie hard core.
Seriously., If you haven't seen this movie DO NOT WATCH IT. This movie was so messed up, and... well I won't say much more because this is the internet and somewhere someone is reading this 5 minutes after they decided to watch this movie, and I won't ruin it for anyone who might like it. But if you do like it I fear deeply for you because you car clearly deeply mentally disturbed. This movie will make you want to A. kill/hurt yourself, or B. kill/hurt someone else. It's like the most effed up vigilantly super hero back story, except it's not. If a genie came out of a bottle and told me I could erase any memory I had, I would wish away this batshit crazy pile of turd.
That is all thank you for your time.
Here have six random car pictures from my collection.

So is it worse the the original Oldboy? Haven't seen either, but figured I'd mention there's another.
From everything I've heard, the first is mindblowingly graphic, but has artistic pretensions that are reasonably sound...

Wow, have you seen the original Oldboy? I'm just wondering if the remake was done poorly or if it's just not your kind of movie.

The original was way more fucked up. Plus the original had the most bad ass fight scene that didn't get done as well. At least watch this version. . . .
American remakes of the Tartan Asia Extreme movies are never any good. The original fucked with my brain quite a bit. I then decided to calm myself down by watching Gozu. . .

Yeah, the original is messed up in ways that American cinema rarely makes it to. I have th DVD. Watched it once.

Remake wasn't as good as the original. I guess it can be considered well done if you ignore the original, but the original was too damn brutal to even compete with.

The first is a well made film, well written and well shot. Good acting too. Just way messed up. I'm glad I saw it, but it is not one you just pop in on a Saturday afternoon.

WARNING SPOILERS: That was better. That fight scene was probably the best part of the whole movie. That and Samuel L Jackson with a Mohawk. The last 20 minutes will scare me for the rest of my life. That "bad guy" didn't have just cause for what he did. Yeah Joe was a bully, but it was you Dad's fault that you Dad killed your family and himself, not Joe's. The "good guy" didn't get revenge. What erked me most was that Joe didn't shut down the company that was responsible for kidnapping him and holding him hostage for 20 years. Especially because they were very clearly doing it to MANY other people. Like yeah I get that the villain offed himself, but just going back into the room he had been locked up in, that's just pathetic . That's what Joe was Pathetic, we was weak, and powerless, not to mention an freaking moron. And the whole you fucked your own daughter thing was just to much for me bro.

I understand that most of that movie is too intense for a majority of people. But the psychological thrillers from Japan or Korea will always leave you in a state of fucky brain. It has been a while since I've seen the original but it was truly such a mind fuck when I watched it. I was more surprised that they remade it to tell you the truth, along with any studio wanting to produce it.
